In the wake of World War II, America saw a shortage of spare parts. And Robert S. Dean, Sr. saw an opportunity to resolve this issue. In 1947, Robert Sr. created Bob Dean Supply to repair and rebuild worn farm machinery and equipment with an expertise that brought repeat business and success.

Since the early days of Bob Dean Supply, the business has only continued to grow. In the 1970s, the company expanded to include a branch operation in Clewiston and formed into six distinct divisions at the original shop in Fort Myers: Welding & Machine Shop, Power Transmission, Industrial Supply, Pump Sales, Steel Sales, and Pump Repair & Motor Rewind.
